1. About Re Rent It
Re Rent It operates an online marketplace that connects people who want to rent items (“renters”) with people who list items for rent (“owners”). We provide the platform, payment processing, and support tools. We are not a party to rental agreements between renters and owners.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use Re Rent It. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- Complete email and mobile verification when required for bookings or publishing listings.
- Do not create accounts for others without permission or use the platform for unlawful purposes.
3. Marketplace role
Owners are solely responsible for their listings, item condition, availability, and fulfilment. Renters are responsible for using rented items lawfully and returning them as agreed. Re Rent It does not own, inspect, or insure listed items unless explicitly stated otherwise.
4. Fees
Re Rent It may charge service fees to renters and commissions to owners. Applicable fees are shown before you confirm a booking or publish a listing. Fees may change with notice; changes apply to new bookings after the effective date.
5. Acceptable use
You must comply with our Community Standards and all applicable laws. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users or the platform.
6. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Re Rent It a licence to display, store, and use it to operate the service. Do not post content that infringes others’ rights or contains malware or misleading information.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Re Rent It is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from rentals between users. Our total liability to you for platform-related claims is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
8. Disputes between users
Renters and owners should resolve booking issues directly where possible. Re Rent It may assist under our Disputes & Damage Policy but does not guarantee outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes non-excludable consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of updated terms. The current version is recorded in article metadata.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in the state or territory where Re Rent It is established, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
