How Does Rerentit work?

Rerentit is a peer-to-peer platform, where you can be a owner by creating an account, once approved by the Rerentit Team, you can:

1.      List your items.

2.      Upload image.,

3.      Writing a description.

4.      Set your location.

5.      Set your price.

6.      Set your availability.

As a Renter, that’s someone looking to rent items, click on the item you wish to rent, select the date range and submit the request. If the Renter has questions, you can communicate with the Owner through our secured platform. Once the item selected has been submitted, the Owner will need to approve the submission, agree on a time and location, for the Renter to pick up the item. It’s a great way to connect with our community.

What type of items can I rent?

Think about it like this. Tip your house upside down and shake it. So basically, anything from items in your garage like, electrical/gardening tools, or check what’s in your kitchen, like appliances/ cutlery/crockery, or for our fashionistas, rent your on trend clothes, shoes, handbags, plus toys are great and furniture too.

What type of items can’t I rent?

Cars, caravans, and trailers, we figure there are awesome sites that cater for these markets. Makeup, adult items used for sexual pleasure, undergarment, earrings. For the safety of our community, our site is moderated, so we will review items advertised, and will approve/disapprove before they are listed.

How do I know the items I’m renting will be looked after?

Rerentit is a peer-to-peer platform, so trust plays a huge role within our community. There is a rating and review section, its role is to build trust without our community. We encourage our Owners to take photos of items available before renting and for the Renter to do the same. We advise, you not to rent items that have sentimental value of anything you may needs, during the rental period agreed.

What if my items, is returned broken or damaged?

This is always a risk, as an Owner, you may want to ask for a bond. If the item is returned in a broken or damaged condition, you are within your right to not return the bond to the Renter. Rerentit, isn’t liable for any of the items approved and listed on the site.

What if the item I’m looking for isn’t listed on Rerentit?

Rerentit is new, so it’s going to take a little while for our community to grow, join our Facebook page and let our community know what you would like to rent. Or send us your requests at service@rerentit.com. We will also, let our community know, the commonly asked items.

How does the payment process work?

  1. Owers Role:
    • The Owner sets the rental price and specifies the available dates for the item.
  2. Renters Selection:
    • When the Renter chooses the item and selects the desired dates, the system automatically calculates the total price.
  3. Transparency on Fees:
    • For full transparency, Rerentit charges a 10% service fee to cover the site’s operational costs. However, if this fee amounts to less than $1.00, a minimum fee of $1.00 will be applied.

How is the fund transferred?

  1. Renting Process:
    • When an Owner rents out their item, the payment from the Renter will be securely held in Rerentit’s account.
  2. Returning the Item:
    • Once the item is returned to the owner, the owner should select the option to mark it as returned in the portal.
  3. Payment Transfer:
    • After marking the item as returned, the payment (minus any fees) will be transferred to the owner.

In summary, the process involves secure payment handling during the rental period and subsequent transfer of funds to the owner after item return.
